SteelCityLongDriver.com is a company born out of the successes and failures in the sport of Long Drive of Kevin Wolfe from Delmont, Pennsylvania.  Kevin began competing in the sport at age 45 on a "dare" from his father-in-law, Jack Hahn who happened to be a clubmaker.  Kevin searched and found local Long Drive enthusiast Dick Rodgers who guided Kevin in the right direction concerning shaft selection, heads, set-ups and the like. 

In his first year of competing, Kevin finished 2nd at the Pennsylvania District finals with a measured drive of 310 yds., qualifying for the Remax WLDC in Mesquite, NV.  In his first round of competing at the Finals in 2004 Kevin launched a ball 397 yds! Not too bad for a rookie!

Since that time, Long Drive has been a driving(sorry for the pun!) force in Kevin's life.  He qualified for the World Finals in 2005 making it all the way to the Semi-finals.  In 2006 with a format change, Kevin made it to the T.V. semi-finals where he would lose to eventual champion Gerry James.  Kevin also qualified for the 2007 finals as well.

Kevin's credentials, having been fortunate enough to qualify at the local level for the U.S. Mid- Amateur, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open Championships ,as well as ,the foray into the sport of Long Drive,give him a unique perspective into the needs of those of us playing the game of golf.  The products promoted within steelcitylongdriver.com have all been tested for durability, performance, style, and cost effectiveness.  This site will only promote to you the most effective performance products tested.
