Newsletter and Updates>
On To Mesquite!
August 24, 2009
I'm sorry this newsletter is so late in coming to you. I've been very busy trying to qualify for the Remax WLDC in Mesquite. More on that later.
A couple of interesting tidbits from our website... We will be dropping the Krank line of products from our menu. We simply have not had enough interest/inquiries from our customers to warrant spending any more time and money trying to keep this relationship afloat. I still believe the El Diablo is a quality product, but, have been unable to test the new "Rage" to evaluate it's performance.
The Intruder 460, from MOI Golf is one of the hottest heads in golf...period. If anyone has contact information regarding Charles Jones, from MOI Golf, please forward it to me. The website www.moigolf.com has been blocked from my computer for "suspicious/infectious" content.
Our new line of Bang Products will be increasing, shortly. I've been in touch with Russ Forney from BANG and he is very anxious for us to include some more BANG product on our website. For those of you interested, the FAST 50 LD shaft is becoming popular among Open Div hitters looking to maintain a lower ball flight. This thing has plenty of kick, and, with some of the lowest torque ratings in LD, keeps ball flights more low/boring.
On the other hand, the Fast 46" version looks to be a shaft worth keeping your eye on for a Playing Driver shaft. Good results from Pros in Nevada and New York with good reviews. This shaft will soon be on our website for purchase.
The Steel City Long Drive Team has it's next exhibition for the Clarion University Alumni Golf Outing on Sept. 11, 2009. Funds raised will go to the various scholarship programs at the University.
Anyone interested in having our Team perform at one of your golf outings, and help raise some funds for your event, don't hesitate to call us! Kevin will be interested to hear about your event.
With all 5 Steel City Long Drive Team members in action these past two weeks, attempting, at Regional Finals, to make their way to Mesquite, N.V. in October, it has been a very busy time at our office and training facilities! Although the Regional qualifying is not yet over, it looks like only one of our 5 Team members will make it to Mesquite this year. We are trying to figure a way to get a couple more of our guys to Super Qualifiers in Texas. Maybe we can get them in, just in time for Mesquite.
Our Steel City Long Drive Team works very hard during the off-season and Spring to get ready for the Summer-time Qualifying. We will continue to work, even now, to ensure a quality performance at all of our functions we are asked to attend.
Steelcitylongdriver.com will be having end of the season specials on LD equipment and Playing Drivers at the conclusion of the Remax WLDC, at the end of October. Just in time for the Holiday Season! Also, look for the new golf gloves packages offered by steelcitylongdriver.com...they are simply unbeatable!
By the way, Kevin Wolfe did qualify for his 6th consecutive Remax WLDC by placing 2nd in the Senior Division in Region #2. Kevin's qualifying drive was 365 yards. Check out more of that info at www.longdrivers.com!
Until next time...
