Steel City Long Drive Team begins 2009 Season

From the desk of Kevin Wolfe:
-The 2009 Long Drive season is upon us. With Locals around the country taking place this month, all of the hard work many of us have done to better our physical prowess in the off-season, will now be put to the test! Remember, with fewer Locals to attend, you'll need to bring your "A" game each time you fork over that $40.00 to crush 6 golf balls!
-For those of you interested in Long Drive, but, may not know how to go about getting into it, feel free to give me a call. I don't know everything there is to know about this sport but,I can send you in the right direction. No matter what I, or, anybody else tells you about Long Drive, know this...if you don't truly believe in yourself, you'll lose...every time!!!
-The Steel City Long Drive Team has it's inaugural event for 2009 with the Clarion Football Alumni Golf Outing on April, 18, 2009.
Proceeds to benefit the Clarion Football Locker Room Fund and Scholarship. I hope we can live up to expectations... we've been assigned the tee box at the 670 yd Par 5 16th. What? It's a Par 6?! Holy ....! Any one with first-aide training may report to the tee box around 1 pm to revive Kevin Wolfe and put salve on his hands!!! Good Luck, Kevin! Wait a minute! I'll call my Long Drive Team member Justin Moose to help me out! (As long as he is not trying to qualify in Jefferson Hills that day!) You see, Justin is a graduate of Clarion University! I know...unfair advantage. So, what?! I'm 50 years old!
-The following weekend our Long Drive Team will be in Greensburg, PA. for the Greensburg-Salem Golden Lions Baseball Boosters Golf Outing. (man that's a long title!) I know many of these fine people, and most of the organizers involved. Without the support of these parents and friends, many sporting programs at the local High Schools would have to be disbanded, or, at least, continue on with inferior equipment and coaching. Support your local high school programs as much as you can. The kids will truly appreciate it!
-NEWS FLASH! The Steel City Long Drive Team has just come to terms with House of Forged, for HOF to be the title shaft sponsor of the Steel City Long Drive Team. Steel City Long Drive Team will strongly promote, use, and sell the HOF brand at all of the Corporate and Fundraising events they will attend this year! This is huge for the development of this program! Customers and event coordinators alike will now be able to test, Demo and use the same high caliber equipment that the top Long Drivers in the World now use! If it's good enough for Long Drivers, shouldn't it be good enough for you?
-Special thanks to Robert Kent, from House of Forged Long Drive Team, for his vision and belief in what the Steel City Long Drive Team can do for many Corporate and Fundraising efforts here in Western, PA and beyond!
-New products being offered shortly will include Zero Friction Golf Tees, Gorilla Gold Golf Grip Towels, and (provided the testing phase is passed) products from BANG GOLF! We believe these fine products will be well received by our customers. Look for them on pages in the website, very soon!
-Steel City Long Drive Team members, Justin Moose, Jim Sanders, Chris Pint, Jeff Nuchols will be on hand at the Region 1 Local qualifier at Jefferson Hills, The Practice Tee, on Sat. April, 18,2009. Jeff and Jim have already qualified for the Region 4 Finals. Good Luck, men!
New video, stills, and information about the Steel City Long Drive Team will be posted by May 1, 2009. The HOF tent is cool!
If you see me, or one of my team members, at an outing, please take the time to say Hello! We would love to talk to you...especially, Jim Sanders! (sorry Jim!)
