Well, here we go! This is our first foray into the world of internet marketing and information distribution. I'm sure there will be some bumps and bruises along the way, I just hope you are able to hang in there with me 'til I get all of this stuff figured out!
Oh, that's right! I'm not supposed to be able to "figure all of this stuff out!". Otherwise you would be paying big bucks for me to sit down and start typing this newsletter for your consumption....maybe someday. In the meantime...

-- SteelCityLongDriver will be offering "sets" of the very popular Custom Grip Program for each of the grips offered on the website, www.steelcitylongdriver.com. Each set will contain 13 of your own Personalized Golf Grips from Steelcitylongdriver. We will compare/contrast the value of our products over the sporting goods store bought products. Check-out the website for "set" pricing beginning March 15, 2009. Each set will contain a surprise gift, included with each purchase!

-- We are currently in negotiations with Cobra Golf and Cleveland Golf to attempt to bring their fine products to the fore, here, at www.steelcitylongdriver.com. We will keep you updated .

-- The Steel City Long Drive Team, comprised of some of the most outstanding Long Ball Hitters from Western, Pa.( including, but not limited to, Justin Moose, Brian Tutich, Kevin Wolfe, Steve Llewellyn, Chris Pint, et. al.) will begin its Spring outings season this year with the Greensburg-Salem Baseball Boosters Golf Outing. Those interested in participating in the event should contact, Kevin Wolfe @ 724-468-8736.
Products from Steelcitylongdriver to Demo and for sale will be on hand for those willing to partake of the offer. 1st Tee demonstrations by Kevin Wolfe, Brian Tutich, and Chris Pint will surely send the event off "With A Bang!"

-- The 2009 Long Drive season is about to begin within the confines of the LDA. Dropping 2 divisions (Grand Champions, and Women's) from the program this year has been met with mixed reviews. Most understand the difficulties of maintaining these two divisions from a strictly financial point of view. Perhaps, other funding options could be reviewed to bring these back, in the future.
The scaled down versions of the number of Local Qualifiers is going to greatly increase the competitive level of these qualifiers and the respective Regionals, not to mention the increase in cash flow related to the number of attempts each competitor may feel compelled to engage.
One thing is certain, if you are fortunate enough to make it to Mesquite this year, you will have as good a chance as anyone to win it all!!! Good Luck to All!

-- Lastly, I would like to thank my family ( Vicky, Ryan and Zach) for all of their support during my endeavor to bring to you information and products from the Long Drive community that you can use in your everyday golfing life! Without this support I would be lost.
Thanks Gang!
