The DB Plus borrows design features from our two most popular models and adds in a bit of 21st century magic for the ultimate in playability, forgiveness and length. We borrowed part of the patented double forged crown on the Indio to lighten the center of the DB Plus crown but left the outer edges at full strength and thickness, thusly increasing the moment of inertia making the DB Plus the most stable head for off center shots in the SMT line. As long as we were at it, we took the size and forgiveness of the 455 Deep Bore and increased
that just a bit to make this clubhead as forgiving as possible. A deeper face than breadth measurement gives the appearance of a smaller head but actually it is the largest in the line, while the weight placement and blend of titanium used reduces excessive spin. This is one of the very few large clubheads on the market that plays true to stated loft with a solid piercing low spin ball flight. Truly a new sensation and new distance right from your very first tee shot.
And, don't worry! SMT still prefers the "no-Line" look to all of it's Driver Heads! Truly unique to the industry.
